My Unique Approach
to Therapy& Coaching
is built upon an understanding of how your experiences impact your nervous system. I work with origin and wisdom gained from your life’s experiences, not just symptoms. My practice is informed by research in neuroscience, the benefits of nature, art, and mind-body disciplines. Our work together may include a focus on your strengths, immersion in nature, art as expression, sensory awareness, visualization and self-regulation practices.

I’ve lived a life on roads less traveled. I have practiced mind-body disciplines including yoga, surfing, Qi gong, paragliding, sailing, and meditation.
I am a resilient, creative, calm, whole-hearted, and joyful professional. I have overcome my own adversity through therapy, coaching, lifestyle, and daily wellness practices.
I became an outdoor leader in 2001 and have practiced nature and expressive therapies since 2008. I am in the process of certifying as an Executive Coach. I have practiced clinically since 2016.
The creation of Akoya is the culmination of my life’s work and story.
